I also have some photographs of two Easter trips to Bruges, where Mrs MacDonald's husband also accompanied us, so we always had a bagpipe tune each morning whilst in Bruges, why we didn't ask in those days!
We had a serious accident on the trip of Easter 1968 when one boy suffered a broken leg, whilst playing on a rocking horse in a playground.
I hadn't realised how small a class we were at the time, but I know teachers can only dream of classes of 18! But this also meant the sports teams were always made up of the top two classes. I remember our first two football matches were against St Cuthberts, we lost away and won at home!
