Maths Challenges

Our school Mathematicians have been busy over the past few weeks competing in National Competitions.

In May, nine children from Year 6 were entered in the Junior Mathematics Challenge, a National competition usually completed when children are in Secondary School! Congratulations to George M who achieved the highest mark in school and a Gold Certificate.

Congratulations must also go to the Forty-five pupils from Year 3 and 4 who took part in the Mathematical Association's First Mathematics Challenge this week.   The Challenges encourage children to think outside the box and approach problems in a logical manner.  Well done everyone - results will be shared at the Achievement Assembly at the end of term.
